The OV Arts Centre in Nanaimo, BC, needed a fresh start. Their previous website featured colonial imagery that no longer aligned with their values. I led a full redesign of their website using WordPress and Elementor, creating a sleek, dark-contrast layout that reflects the intimacy of their performance space. The new site includes an online booking calendar, nonprofit membership integration, lead capture forms, and an events calendar to promote upcoming shows.
To support their operations, I also:
Built a secure members-only portal for board minutes and member perks
Integrated online payments for ticket sales
Streamlined workflows with custom forms and automations
Provided coaching for executive volunteers to manage the site independently
This website is fantastic. It completely represents what we were trying to achieve with our new rebrand. The site is easy to use, people are actually signing up for membership now, and our attendance at our shows has nearly tripled without any additional marketing due to having them clearly displayed on our site.
